Super Tuscan wines are made with a blend of Sangiovese and non-indigenous grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. To experience excellent super Tuscans you don’t need to spend the vast sums of money for a bottle from the famous wineries, you just need to know the right producers. La Camperchi is one of these small wineries making an exceptional super Tuscan. Only small quantities are made and in the best years. It is bottled following a maturation of 12 months which sees, Sangiovese in tonneau, Merlot in barrique and steel for Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Aroma of cherry, plum and a touch of blackberry. It opens up with spicy notes, cloves and a hint of thyme. In the mouth well balanced with dark chocolate, leather and the finish is persistent with a twist of sour cherry. that calls you back to enjoy more.
