Chateau de Vaux Yannick de Vermount Fleurie 2022

The family estate is in the heart of the village of

Vaux-Clochemerle en Beaujolais and has been passed down from father to son for five generations.

The Château de Vaux, was built in the 12th Century. It marks the imprint of the monks of Cluny who built the Romanesque church and planted the first vines in the town.

It was in the 1920s that Louis de Vermont decided to take over the property, previously the grapes were sold in bulk to large winemakers.

The development of direct sales was one of its priorities as well as the promotion of the Beaujolais vineyard. It was then his son, Roger, then his grandson, Jacques, who made the wines of the estate.

It is now Yannick de Vermont who works the family vines in an eco-responsible and sustainable spirit. The estate is indeed committed to a Terra Vitis   environmental certification, it has also been certified HVE3 - High Enviromental Value since the 2019 vintage.

On the nose, finesse and elegance with notes redcurrant, raspberry and dried flowers. Smooth tannins on the palate. All in all a silky, soft Fleurie with real precision, lively acidity and a juicy red cherry finish.
