Domaine Franck Millet Sancerre 2023

Within Sancerre the 3 villages of Bué, Chavignol and Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre have become so widely associated with distinctive and high quality wines that they are often referred to as “crus” even though Sancerre is not officially classified. Franck and his wife Betty are the third generation of the family to carry on the winemaking traditions in their vineyards in Bué.

The wine is a clear with hints of gold  and  a tinge of green. On the nose it’s a classic Sancerre from Bué, limestone and mineral crispness, with a fresh rounded palate of ripe citrus fruit and a long citrus and mineral finish. Franck recommends drinking the Sancerre young with fish or the local famous cheese “Crottin de Chavignol” goat’s cheese. More matured vintages up to 5 years go well with pate and foie gras.
