Piquepoul
Piquepoul, also known as Picpoul, is a white grape variety primarily grown in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France, particularly in the sub-regions of Picpoul de Pinet and Clairette du Languedoc. Piquepoul wines display a pale straw or greenish-yellow colour and offer fresh and vibrant characteristics. They often showcase flavours of citrus fruits, such as lemon and grapefruit, with hints of floral and herbal notes. Piquepoul wines are known for their crisp acidity, light to medium body, and a refreshing mineral character. They pair well with seafood, shellfish, and other light dishes, making them a popular choice for summer sipping and seaside enjoyment.
