The Sauvignon Blanc white grape makes a crisp style wine with a distinctive fresh acidity with notes of herbs, citrus and gooseberry and even a cut grass aroma. The top regions are the Bordeaux, Loire valley in France (Sancerre & Pouilly Fume) and are now grown extensively in New Zealand.
