Merlot is one of the world's most beloved red grape varieties, celebrated for its soft, velvety texture and approachable character. While it reaches its pinnacle in Bordeaux's prestigious Right Bank—particularly in Pomerol and Saint-Émilion—Merlot thrives in wine regions across the globe.

Known for its deep ruby colour and plush tannins, Merlot offers flavours of ripe plum, black cherry, and chocolate, often with notes of herbs, tobacco, and woodland undergrowth in more complex examples. Its medium to full body and smooth finish make it wonderfully food-friendly.
