Château Beaubois Rouge 2023

Beaubois is located 20km from Nîmes on the shores of a lake near the Camargue natural park. The estate's name dates to the 13th century, when Cistercian monks at the abbey of Franquevaux recognised the exceptional quality of the soil and cleared a magnificent pine and oak forest to plant vines and olive trees — naming it "Beaubois", or Beautiful Forest.

The estate is now run by siblings François and Fanny, the fourth generation of wine makers. François oversees the vines, constantly seeking new techniques to improve grape quality. Fanny makes the wines, maintaining high standards and introducing a feminine finesse. In recent years the wines have achieved organic and biodynamic certification, reflecting the family's deep commitment to the land.

About This Wine

The Château Beaubois Rouge is a classic expression of the Southern Rhône — led by Syrah and rounded out with Grenache from biodynamically farmed, organically certified vineyards. It's a wine that speaks of place: authentic, grounded, and built for the table.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep ruby-red with violet hues.
Nose: Ripe dark fruit, coffee, and subtle earthy notes with a hint of spice.
Palate: Meaty and savoury in style, with Syrah clearly playing a big part — flavours of coffee and tar with a generous mid-palate.
Finish: Firm and lingering with a satisfying grip.

Food Pairing

A natural match for grilled meats and BBQ — equally at home alongside a slow-braised lamb shoulder or a hearty beef stew.
