Condamine Picpoul de Pinet 2025
The name Picpoul translates as “lip stinger” — a nod to the grape’s signature high acidity and electric freshness. This cuvee is made by Guilheim Bascou, who follows in his father’s footsteps managing the family vineyard in the Pinet lagoon area of the Languedoc. His father was president of the Picpoul de Pinet appellation and still helps in the vineyard and cellars. The wine is shaped by its marine environment: sea breezes limit daytime temperatures while the lagoon protects the vines from severe temperature drops at night, producing grapes of exceptional freshness and mineral character.
About This Wine
Picpoul de Pinet is one of the Languedoc’s most distinctive appellations, producing a style of white wine that is uniquely suited to seafood — crisp, saline, and intensely fresh. Made from the Piquepoul Blanc grape, this is a wine that captures the essence of the Mediterranean coast in every glass.
