Castello D'Alba Douro White 2024

Castello d'Alba is the project of winemaker Rui Madeira, sourcing grapes from old-vine terraced vineyards in the Douro Valley at around 500 metres above sea level. Planted on schist soils, these ancient vines produce low yields of intensely flavoured fruit — and in the whites, a mineral precision and freshness that is rare in the Douro.

About This Wine

A crisp, elegant Douro white blending indigenous varieties Rabigato, Gouveio, and Viosinho from old vines farmed sustainably. Rui selects more acidic grape varieties to preserve freshness and balance, resulting in a wine with real mineral character and a stony, citrus-driven personality. Drink young to enjoy its best.
