Apollonio Divoto Riserva 2013
Massimiliano Apollonio is one of Puglia's most respected producers, and the Divoto Riserva is the crown jewel of the estate — the only Riserva wine made by the Apollonio brothers. Crafted from hand-harvested Negroamaro and Montepulciano, the harvest is deliberately delayed to maximise sugar concentration and richness. The wine is then aged for 24 months in oak followed by a further 12 months of bottle refinement before release.
About This Wine
Divoto is a wine of real ambition and patience. The extended ageing programme — two years in oak, one in bottle — builds extraordinary complexity and depth. With its lush tannins and long, Amarone-like finish, this is a Puglia Riserva that rewards cellaring and commands attention at the table.
