Finca Mores + 3 2021

Finca Mores is a small vineyard near the town of Falset in Montsant — a lesser-known but equally compelling neighbour to Priorat, sharing the same dramatic landscape of ancient schist and limestone soils. The wine is a collaboration between Eli, who grew up on the estate picking blackberries (mores) in the fields as a child, and Jordi Vidal, owner of La Conreria d'Scala Dei in Priorat. Everything is done by hand, and Jordi's philosophy is that no single grape should dominate — the wine is a result of the unique terrain and the harmony of the blend. The name Mores+3 refers to the three months the wine spends in French oak.

About This Wine

A handcrafted Montsant red led by old-vine Garnacha, blended with four other varieties and aged three months in French oak. The result is a wine of genuine personality — fresh, rich, and layered, with the warmth and depth of the region's distinctive terroir.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep ruby with warm garnet hints
Nose: Juicy cooked fruit, dark berries, and a hint of spice — with a whiff of cinnamon from the oak
Palate: Fresh, rich, and fruity with layers of dark fruit, good structure, and a warm, spiced character
Finish: Long and satisfying with lingering fruit and spice

Food Pairing

Excellent with pasta, pork, and grilled meats. The warmth and spice also make it a great match for slow-cooked dishes and aged cheeses.
