Domaine Maratray Dubreuil Pinot Noir 2023
The vineyards of Maratray Dubreuil have been worked by the same family for three generations and are deeply embedded in the Cote de Beaune. The Maratray family is originally from the village of Ladoix and the Dubreul family vineyards came from the village of Pernand Vergelesses. The vineyards are now managed by the sister and brother team of Marie Madeleine and Francis Xavier Maratray. All grapes are hand harvested and Francis Xavier decides how each wine is vinified, according to its terroir, climate and vintage.
A delightful wine, on the nose delicate and fruity aromas of strawberry and red currant. Well balanced tannin with red cherry on the palate and a long finish. This is a great example of what the Pinot Noir grape can produce on the Burgundian terroir.
