This fortified wine is made in the Portuguese island of Madeira in the Atlantic Ocean. Available in dry to sweet styles, Madeira wine is distinct in that the wine is repeatedly heated, creating wines that typically display flavours of roasted nuts, toffee, caramel, and stewed fruit.
