Delta Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Neal Ibbotson and his wife Judy were one of the earliest private grape growers in the Marlborough region, first planting grapes in 1978, and a founding partner of the Delta Wine Company. They built a a state-of-the-art winery in 2005, where the Delta Wines have been crafted from the 2015 vintage onwards.

Heather Stewart is the winemaker at Delta, she has led an interesting journey from studying art history, obtaining a Master of Science in Psychology, traveling around the world, to doing a vintage as a cellar-hand in Marlborough, which ignited her passion for wine. Heather completed a Graduate Diploma in Oenology and gained extensive wine making knowledge working for Saint Clair Family Estate for ten years before joining the Delta wine making team in 2015. She has also worked vintages at boutique wineries in Chianti Classico in Tuscany and Santa Ynez Valley in California.

Classic and vibrant, very fresh with a rush of fresh herb aromas then tropical fruits suggesting mango, lychee, and pineapple. Citrus and apple then smooth mineral notes of wet stone. On the palate - crisp and crunchy texture, flavours of citrus then tropical.
