Pierre Henri Ginglinger Cremant
In 1610 the Ginglinger family planted their first vines in the area of Eguisheim in Alsace. Mathieu Ginglinger — the 12th generation — took over the running of the 15-hectare estate from his father Pierre Henri, and in 2001 the entire vineyards and wines were awarded Ecocert organic certification. The Crémant d’Alsace is made using the traditional method — the same as Champagne — with a second fermentation in the bottle, 18–20 months of bottle ageing, followed by remuage and disgorgement.
About This Wine
An organic Crémant d’Alsace from Pinot Noir, Pinot Auxerrois, and Riesling — three of the six permitted varieties of the appellation. Made by the traditional method with 18–20 months of bottle ageing, this is a sparkling wine of real elegance and finesse. An excellent alternative to Champagne at a fraction of the price.
