Broadbent Fine Rich Madeira 3 Year Old
The history of Madeira wine stretches back to the Age of Exploration, when the island was a frequent port of call for ships crossing the Atlantic. Wine was fortified to survive the voyage, and the blazing heat of the journey transformed its flavour — a process now reproduced on the island through estufagem, where wines are heated to up to 60°C and gently oxidised to create Madeira's uniquely complex, long-lived character. Broadbent has been one of the leading importers and champions of Madeira wine for decades.
About This Wine
Broadbent's Fine Rich Madeira is made from Tinta Negra, aged in oak casks for a minimum of three years. Medium sweet in style, it delivers the classic Madeira combination of richness, acidity, and extraordinary longevity. An excellent introduction to the world of Madeira — versatile enough to enjoy as an aperitif or with dessert.
