Pouilly Fuissé Wines

A village appellation in the Maconnais region of Burgundy, Pouilly-Fuissé stands out for it worldly reputation for making Chardonnay white wines and the quality of its best white wines, which can match those of the Côte de Beaune. 

Certain plots of this 800-hectare of hillside vineyards of Pouilly-Fuissé were recently granted Premier Cru status. Wines are characterised by elegant concentration and flavours of almonds, hazelnuts, citrus and tropical fruit.

Don't confuse with Pouilly-Fumé wines from the Loire - which are entirely different!
