Prosecco
The Prosecco wine region belongs to the bigger region of Veneto, in the northeast of Italy. Its position between the sea and the Prealps ensures a mild climate, with an average temperature during the year of 12.3°C and constant breezes, which allow the grapes to dry quickly after it has rained.
As well as a delicious flavour, prosecco gets its bubbles through a second fermentation that occurs in a sealed, stainless steel tank. The special process creates light, foamy bubbles that are bigger compared to other sparkling wines, keeping your palate refreshed and ready for the next sip!
Prosecco is perfect with an aperitif, cheese, fish, pasta and seafood.

At The Wine Buff we have a prosecco selection from Italy for every occasion and budget including light sparkling, semi-sparkling, extra dry and Rosé.
From the Baccichetto vineyard in the Friuli region, we have a refreshing semi-sparkling Prosecco and a Rosé. The crisp and clean tasting prosecco has a soft straw colour, very small bubbles and is semi-sparkling with a touch of pear and melon in the aroma. The Rosé which is fresh on the palate with a taste of wild strawberries has a rich pink colour with a red berry fruity nose.
We have a lightly sparkling prosecco from one of the great, quality wineries in Northeast Italy. Ettore Anselmi first planted vines in 1937 after he bought his first hectare outside the town of Pocenia in the heart of sunny Friuli. Today, his grandsons Giuseppe and Luigi Anselmi continue the family estate.
Anselmi Guiseppe & Luigi Prosecco Frizzante has a pale lemon colour with an aroma of white flowers and creamy mousse with ripe fruit flavours of pear and apple and a fruity dry finish.
From the San Giuseppe father and son family vineyard we have a flavoursome extra dry prosecco which is fruity, with a hint of crisp green apple, with just the right amount of sweetness. Easy drinking with or without food, a hugely popular choice for weddings and parties.
From the Montaribaldi family owned vineyard located in the heart of the Lange Hills in the cosy town of Barbaresco, we have a dry in the mouth prosecco, with a pleasant freshness and a strong citrus body. It is bright straw yellow with gold nuances with fine and persistent bubbles. Fresh fragrance of wild flowers and white fruits.
This winery makes some of the most famous and prestigious wines from the Piedmont region.
