Domaine Montmartel Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2024
Domaine Montmartel is run by Damien Marres in the southern Rhône Valley, where the appellation’s white wines have improved enormously in recent years. This Côtes du Rhône Blanc is farmed organically and made from an equal blend of three classic southern Rhône white varieties — each bringing its own character to a wine that is pure, precise, and genuinely exciting.
About This Wine
An organic blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, and Clairette from the Côtes du Rhône appellation. Viognier brings floral aromatics and stone fruit, Grenache Blanc adds body and richness, and Clairette contributes freshness and acidity. The result is a very fresh and vibrant white with lovely balancing acidity — pure and precise southern Rhône at its best.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale gold with a fresh, bright appearance.
Nose: Fresh and aromatic — white blossom, citrus, and a lightly spiced note.
Palate: Vibrant and fresh with lovely balancing acidity, clean fruit, and a mineral edge.
Finish: Clean and persistent with a refreshing, lightly spiced close.
Food Pairing
Excellent with roast chicken, seafood, grilled fish, and light pasta dishes. The aromatic freshness also makes it a great aperitif.
