Rioja is Spain's most celebrated wine region, renowned for elegant, oak-aged reds that balance tradition with modern winemaking excellence. Located in northern Spain along the Ebro River, Rioja's diverse terroirs produce wines of remarkable complexity and age-worthiness.

Predominantly crafted from Tempranillo with touches of Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo, Rioja wines are classified by their ageing: Crianza (minimum 2 years, 1 in oak), Reserva (minimum 3 years, 1 in oak), and Gran Reserva (minimum 5 years, 2 in oak).
