Saint-Emilion Wines
Saint-Émilion wines are renowned for their rich flavours, elegance, and aging potential. Crafted in Bordeaux’s prestigious Right Bank, these Merlot-dominanted blends offer deep complexity, velvety tannins, and a taste of history from this UNESCO-listed wine region.
The Saint-Émilion region is distinguished by its two appellations: Saint-Émilion and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. This last appellation contains some of the greatest wines of Bordeaux, the Grands Crus Classés and especially the Premiers Grands Crus Classés (Châteaux Cheval Blanc, Pavie, Angélus, Ausone… to name a few). The classification of Saint-Émilion wines is reviewed and updated every ten years.
The Saint-Émilion satellite appellations are Lussac-Saint-Émilion, Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion, Montagne-Saint-Émilion and Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion appellations immediately north and northeast of AOC Saint-Émilion.
