Domaine La Grave Sauvignon Blanc 2025
Domaine La Grave is a family-run vineyard in the south of the Minervois, in the Languedoc, overlooking the Canal du Midi. The Orosquette family have generations of vine-growing experience, and sustainable Terra Vitis farming has always been the rule of the property. Château La Grave is unique in the region for its focus on white wine production, gaining awards for its whites over recent years. The Sauvignon Blanc vines are still very limited in number, making this a genuinely small-production wine with real character.
About This Wine
Made from Sauvignon Blanc grown to Terra Vitis sustainable standards in the Hauts de Badens area of the Languedoc. This is a Sauvignon Blanc with a difference — slightly more body than its Loire counterparts, with a mineral freshness and grapefruit character that reflects the warm southern terroir. Award-winning and produced in limited quantities.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale yellow with fresh green tints.
Nose: Fresh and aromatic — white flowers, minerals, and a hint of citrus.
Palate: Fruity and well-balanced with good acidity, a dash of grapefruit, and slightly more body than Sauvignon Blancs from other French regions.
Finish: Clean and refreshing with a mineral, citrus-tinged close.
Food Pairing
Excellent with roast chicken, grilled fish, seafood, and soft cheeses. The extra body and mineral character also make it a great match for richer fish dishes and light pasta.
