Franck Millet Pouilly Fume 2023

Domaine Franck Millet is a family estate in Bué, one of Sancerre's finest villages. Franck and his wife Betty are the third generation of the family to carry on the winemaking traditions in their Loire Valley vineyards. This Pouilly Fumé comes from their vineyards in Pouilly-sur-Loire — the neighbouring appellation to Sancerre, producing Sauvignon Blanc of exceptional elegance and mineral character from the region's distinctive flint and limestone soils.

About This Wine

A single-estate Pouilly Fumé of real freshness and elegance — pale yellow with silver tints, ripe yellow fruit on the nose, and a palate of citrus freshness and mineral precision. The finish is fresh and mouthwatering — a classic Loire Sauvignon Blanc at its best.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Pale yellow with silver tints
Nose: Ripe yellow fruit — peach, apricot, and mirabelle
Palate: Smooth attack with grapefruit and lemon citrus, reminiscent of the nose
Finish: Fresh and mouthwatering with excellent length

Food Pairing

Excellent with fish, seafood, and cheese. The fresh acidity and mineral character also make it a superb match for goat's cheese, asparagus, and light starters.
