Swartland Blanc de Noir 2022

Blanc de Noir is a winemaking style where red grapes are pressed quickly and the skins removed before fermentation, producing a pale, fresh wine with the aromatic character of the red grape but the freshness of a white. Swartland Winery uses Pinotage — South Africa's signature variety — to create a Blanc de Noir that is uniquely South African in character: fruity, fresh, and endlessly food-friendly.

About This Wine

Made from Pinotage grapes briefly pressed with the skins, which are quickly removed to limit tannin extraction. The result is a pale, medium-dry wine with the strawberry and floral aromatics of Pinotage and the freshness and acidity of a white. Versatile and approachable, it is best enjoyed young and well chilled.
