Tinto Roriz

Tinto Roriz is the Portuguese name for Spain's celebrated Tempranillo grape, known as Aragonês in southern Portugal and Tinta Roriz in the prestigious Douro and Dão regions. This versatile variety is a cornerstone of Portugal's finest red wines, from elegant table wines to the fortified wines of the Douro Valley.

In the Douro, Tinto Roriz contributes structure, colour, and aromatic complexity to both Port and premium dry reds. Expect flavours of red cherry, plum, and blackberry with notes of leather, tobacco, and spice when oak-aged. These medium to full-bodied wines offer balanced acidity and smooth tannins.
