Vacqueyras

Situated in the south of the Rhone Valley, the name Vacqueyras comes from the Latin “Valléa Quadreria” which means “valley of stones”. This is evidenced by the rolled pebbles throughout its vineyards

Côtes du Rhône appellation status was granted in 1937. Côtes du Rhône Villages

appellation applied to the area from 1955 and Vacqueyras acquired its own “CRU” appellation in 1990.
