Ventoux Wines
Ventoux appellation is known for producing red and rosé wines. The red wines are made primarily from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
The wines are typically characterized by their full-bodied, rich and complex flavours and aromas, with notes of dark fruit, spices, and herbs.
Mont Ventoux, gives its name to the region, a mountain that sits in the background of the vineyards. Venteux means windy in French, and it can get breezy at the summit, especially with the mistral winds, speeds as high as 320 km/h have been recorded.
