Château Bejac Romleys Medoc 2020
Château Bejac Romelys is owned by Sylvie and Xavier Berrouet. The estate was founded in 1985 on 2.5 hectares within 800m of the Gironde and in 1986 they produced a small quantity of their first vintage after withdrawing from the local cooperative. Over the next few years they built a modern winery consisting of a vat room, a barrel cellar, and a bottle cellar. The name Romelys is derived from the name of their two children RO-dolphe and MELYS-sa. The vineyard is one of the 44 selected in the 2006 Cru Artisan classification.
A classic Bordeaux nose of cassis and cedar wood. Well integrated tannins allow for a fine balance between flavour and structure; notes of wild berry and fruit liqueur are enfolded in pleasant tannin. Attractive oak flavours return in a highly expressive finish.
