Col di Vento Chianti Classico 2022
The Black Rooster (Gallo Nero) was the symbol chosen for the Chianti Classico production zone and its origins date back to the 14th century. If there is no Black Rooster on the bottle, it’s not a Chianti Classico!
Chianti Classico typically has different elevation and soils compared to the larger surrounding area. The hilly landscape means cooler nights, which contribute to a longer growing season, adding higher acidity and full ripeness. The clay content in the soil is believed to add structure and body to the wine.
Garnet red colour. Intense, full concentrated aroma of red and black fruits, earthy and hints of spice.
The flavour is dry, medium bodied with soft and well balanced tannins with great persistence.
