Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux Wines

Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux is one of Bordeaux's most exciting yet undervalued appellations, located on the Right Bank just east of prestigious Saint-Émilion. This historic region produces elegant, Merlot-based red wines that offer exceptional quality and value.

The vineyards are planted on limestone and clay soils similar to those of Saint-Émilion, giving the wines a rich texture, balanced acidity, and complex layers of dark fruit, spice, and earthy minerality. Predominantly crafted from Merlot with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, these wines showcase smooth tannins and excellent aging potential.

Expect flavours of blackberry, plum, dark cherry, and cassis with notes of cedar, tobacco, and graphite. These medium to full-bodied wines pair beautifully with roasted lamb, duck confit, beef bourguignon, and aged cheeses.
