Domaine Moulin Camus Muscadet Sur Lie 2024

Domaine Moulin Camus is situated in the Muscadet appellation of the Loire Valley, one of France’s most distinctive and food-friendly white wine regions. Made by François Boulanger, this is a “sur lie” Muscadet — aged on the dead yeast particles (lees) for a minimum of 6 months, a process that adds complexity, texture, and a characteristic yeasty richness to the wine’s natural freshness.

About This Wine

Made from Melon de Bourgogne — the sole permitted grape of the Muscadet appellation — this is a wine of finesse and delicacy. The “sur lie” ageing method elevates it beyond a simple crisp white, adding layers of complexity while preserving the mineral freshness and clean acidity that make Muscadet the ultimate seafood wine.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Pale gold with a fresh, bright appearance.
Nose: Delicate and inviting — melon, mineral, and lemon cream.
Palate: Fresh and clean with a subtle yeasty complexity from the lees ageing, crisp acidity, and excellent balance.
Finish: Crisp and mineral with a clean, refreshing close.

Food Pairing

The classic pairing for oysters, mussels, and all shellfish. Also excellent with grilled fish, seafood platters, and soft cheeses. The quintessential Loire white for the table.
