Melon de Bourgogne
Melon de Bourgogne, also known as Muscadet, is a white grape variety primarily grown in the Loire Valley of France. It is particularly associated with the production of Muscadet wines. Melon de Bourgogne wines exhibit a pale straw or light golden colour and offer crisp and refreshing characteristics. They often showcase citrus and green fruit flavours, such as lemon, green apple, and pear, with subtle mineral notes. Melon de Bourgogne wines are known for their high acidity and light to medium body, making them an excellent choice for pairing with seafood, particularly oysters, as well as other light dishes.
