Soleiano Verdicchio di Matelica DOC 2024
Produttori di Matelica is the oldest winery in the upper Vallesina valley in Le Marche, with over 90 years of winemaking history. Located in the high-altitude Matelica appellation, nestled between the Apennine mountains, the estate benefits from a continental climate — warm days and cool nights that enhance grape acidity and aromatic intensity. Verdicchio di Matelica is considered the more structured and age-worthy of the two Verdicchio DOCs, with greater depth than its coastal counterpart.
About This Wine
Made from Verdicchio grown in the Matelica appellation of Le Marche, central Italy. Verdicchio is one of Italy's most underrated white grapes — crisp, mineral, and food-friendly, with a distinctive bitter almond note on the finish that is the hallmark of the variety. This is a wine of real character and excellent value.
