Soleiano Verdicchio di Matelica DOC 2024
Produttori di Matelica, the oldest winery in upper Vallesina valley, Marche, has been producing wine for more than 90 years. Located in the high-altitude Matelica appellation between the Apennines, it benefits from a continental climate with warm days and cool nights that enhance grape acidity and aroma.
Specialising in Verdicchio, the winery combines modern technology with tradition to showcase the grape’s unique flavours. Each stage—from vineyard to bottling—is carefully managed to highlight Verdicchio di Matelica.
Sustainable farming methods protect grape health and biodiversity, including planting grass between vines to reduce chemicals. The winemaking process aims to preserve natural aromas and express the winery’s dedication to Verdicchio.
Verdicchio is a highly popular white wine from central Italy, made from the vibrant Verdicchio grape. The name comes from "verde," the Italian word for green, a nod to the grape's yellow-green skin that imparts a delicate green tinge to the wine.
Hand-picked grapes, aged for 4 months in stainless steel tanks. Fruity, floral notes. Fresh taste of citrus fruits, with refreshing acidity and a mineral driven finish.
