Cabanas de Castanheiro Gambozinos Reserva 2020

The Gambozinos Reserva is from vineyards situated in a valley called Rio Torto which is an off shoot of the main Douro valley and somewhat cooler. Almost 60% of the wine is aged in French oak and the remainder in steel tanks and blended one month before bottling. This gives a freshness to the wine accompanied by spice, raspberry and black fruit. On the palate red-black fruit with a chunk of tannin and a gamey flavour with a spicy finish.
