Flaio Negroamaro Salento 2021
Negroamaro — literally "black and bitter" — is the great indigenous red grape of Salento, the sun-drenched peninsula at the very tip of Italy's heel. Flaio is produced by Cantine Salvalai from Negroamaro grown in the Salento IGT zone, where the intense southern sun and warm Mediterranean climate produce wines of real depth and dark fruit character.
About This Wine
A medium-bodied Negroamaro from Salento — dry and food-friendly, with the dark fruit, earthy depth, and velvety finish that defines the variety at its best. Blackcurrant, liquorice, and chocolate on the palate, with balanced acidity and soft tannins that make it an excellent everyday red for the table.
