Langhe
The Langhe is a renowned wine region in the Piedmont area of northwestern Italy. Located south of Turin near the town of Alba, it is famous for its rolling hills, historic castles, and vineyards. The region has been recognized as part of the Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont: Langhe-Roero and Monferrato by UNESCO because of its long-standing winemaking tradition and distinctive cultural landscape.
The Langhe is especially celebrated for producing exceptional red wines made from the Nebbiolo grape, most notably Barolo and Barbaresco. In addition to its wines, the area is well known for its culinary specialties, particularly White truffle and locally grown Hazelnut, both of which contribute to the region’s rich gastronomic reputation.
