Mas du Novi Chardonnay 2023

Mas du Novi — the vineyard of Saint-Jean-du-Noviciat — is an exceptional organic estate in Montagnac, embedded in the Languedoc landscape just west of Montpellier. Its history can be traced back to the era of the Cathars and Crusaders, and the land was once part of a vast Cistercian abbey. The Chardonnay is a multiple award-winner — several times a gold medal winner of the Chardonnay du Monde — and is aged in oak for 12 months to develop complexity and texture.

About This Wine

One of the jewels of IGP Oc Chardonnay — a rich, elegant, oak-aged white from organic vineyards in the Languedoc. Full-bodied and textured, with the warmth of the south balanced by real finesse and a beautiful edge of oak. A serious white wine at an accessible price.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Golden with warm highlights
Nose: Fruity and round — apples, peaches, and lemon curd
Palate: Rich and balanced with a very elegant texture and a beautiful edge of oak
Finish: Long and satisfying

Food Pairing

Excellent with roast white meats, chicken, and salmon. The richness and oak also make it a great match for creamy pasta dishes and grilled lobster.
