Montaribaldi Roero Arneis 2025
The Arneis grape is native to Piedmont and very nearly died out entirely — but over the last few decades it has been lovingly reintroduced by local winemakers who recognised its potential. Arneis translates locally as "the little rascal" — an apt name for a grape that is notoriously difficult to grow, but which, once mastered, produces a wine of real complexity and charm. Montaribaldi, run by Luciano Taliano, is one of the Roero's most respected producers of this rare variety.
About This Wine
Made from Arneis grown sustainably in the Roero DOCG, on the left bank of the Tanaro river in Piedmont. The Roero's sandy soils give Arneis a distinctive lightness and aromatic lift, while the continental climate builds concentration and depth. This is a wine of genuine rarity and character — one of Italy's most interesting white grapes at its best.
