Finca Mores + 3 2020

Montsant is a lesser known wine region than its famous neighbour Priorat. They have similar styled wines as they share the same geographical landscape.

Finca Mores is a small vineyard near the town of Falset. The owner Eli, as a child spent many hours in the vineyard and watched as her family picked the Granacha grapes. Eli was more interested in picking and eating blackberries (mores) around the fields. Later she studied viticulture and met Jordi Vidal in college who she already knew from La Conreria in Priorat. Jordi is the owner of La Conreria d’Scala Dei in Priorat. They later decided to make a wine together, everything is done by hand, Jordi's philosophy is that any particular grape in the blend is invisible the wine is a result of the unique terrain and the combination of the grapes.

The wine is oaked for three months in French oak, hence the name Mores+3. The main grape used is Granacha, balanced with 4 other varieties resulting in a fresh, rich and fruity wine with layers of juicy cooked fruit and a hint of spices including a whiff of cinnamon.
