Château Vitallis Pouilly Fuisse 1er Cru "Pouilly" 2024

A family-run wine estate since 1835, Château Vitallis is located at the foot of the iconic Rock of Solutré — one of Burgundy’s most dramatic and celebrated landmarks. Proudly and firmly rooted in the Mâconnais, Denis Dutron and his son Maxime create wines of character that are true to the unique identity of their exceptional terroir. HVE Certified and sustainably farmed, the estate is a benchmark producer in the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.

About This Wine

The Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru “Pouilly” is made from the estate’s finest Chardonnay vines on the Premier Cru “Pouilly” climat — one of the most prestigious sites in the appellation. A step up in complexity and depth from the village wines, this is a white Burgundy of real substance and elegance, with the structure and balance to develop beautifully over the next five years.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Crystalline pale gold with silver reflections — luminous and elegant in the glass.
Nose: Elegant and delicious — white-fleshed fruits (peach, pear, white plum) highlighted by toasted almonds and a subtle, well-integrated woodiness.
Palate: Fresh and buttery with a lovely mineral backbone. The mid-palate is full and expressive with ripe fruit and toasted almond, beautifully balanced by a fresh, lively acidity.
Finish: Long, delicious, and persistent with a clean mineral and almond-tinged close.

Food Pairing

A Premier Cru of this calibre deserves considered food — roast chicken with cream sauce, scallops, lobster, or a fine fish dish. Also excellent with soft-rind cheeses or a classic Burgundian dish such as poulet à la crème. The wine’s richness and minerality make it a natural partner for elegant, flavoursome food.
