Apollonio Terragnolo 2021
Primitivo — whose name means "early ripening" — accumulates sugar rapidly in the intense southern sun, producing wines that are big, rich, and intensely fruit-driven. The Apollonio Terragnolo is made from Primitivo grown on 50+ year old bush vines in Puglia — old vines that produce small yields of concentrated, complex fruit. Unfiltered and award-winning, it is one of the most characterful expressions of this variety available.
About This Wine
A premium, unfiltered Primitivo from old bush vines in Puglia — rich, full-bodied, and intensely fruit-driven. Figs, blueberries, and stewed blackberry on the nose give way to a blast of blackcurrant on the palate, with an excellent fruit-driven finish and a distinctive hint of coconut. A wine of real power and southern Italian soul.
