Bodega Sierra Norte Heraclio Red 2024

Bodega Sierra Norte is located in Requena, with vines growing at around 900 metres above sea level in the village of Camporrobles, close to Utiel. Founded in 1995 and bottling since 1999, Sierra Norte has been at the forefront of Utiel-Requena's transformation from a bulk wine region into one of Spain's most exciting quality producers. The Heraclio Red is a certified organic and vegan-friendly blend of Bobal and Cabernet Sauvignon — championing the indigenous local grape alongside an international variety.

About This Wine

An organic, vegan-friendly red that puts the Bobal grape centre stage. Bobal's naturally soft, juicy blue fruit character is complemented by the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon, creating a medium-bodied blend that is easy-drinking yet satisfying — with the freshness that comes from high-altitude viticulture.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep ruby with violet hints
Nose: Juicy blue fruits, dark cherry, and a hint of spice
Palate: Rich dark fruit with smooth tannins and refreshing acidity — medium-bodied and well-balanced
Finish: Long and satisfying with lingering dark fruit

Food Pairing

Excellent with chicken, pork, BBQ, and tapas. The soft tannins and fruit-forward style make it a versatile match for casual dining.
