Château Lynch Bages Pauillac 2020
Located in Pauillac, Lynch Bages has left its mark on the history of the Médoc. Although the terroir of Bages has been known since the 16th century, it was in the 18th century that it gained fame, with the son of an Irish citizen named Thomas Lynch owning the vineyard.
The nose is deep and dark, full of rich cassis and savoury, earthy spices. The palate has great attack, with rich dark fruit and a mouth-coating of ripe tannins intense in equal measure - this is wine that will age well. Piercing blackcurrant fruit cuts through savoury spices from the oak.
