Château Rocher Gardat Montagne St Emilion 2020
Chateau Rocher Gardat has been in the family since 1880. The vineyards are located in an area known as Gardat and lie above quarries that are over 300 years old, many of the quarried stones were used in the construction of the wine cellars in the neighbouring chateaux. Hence the name Rocher which translates as rock.
A toasty oak nose with plums, blackberry and mild spices. The wine is medium bodied, fresh and fruity with a silky texture that follows through to the finish, with a slight sour cherry tart finish. The wine will develop well over the next few years.
