Mas du Novi Lou Blanc 2024
Mas du Novi is an organic estate in the heart of the Languedoc, run by Thierry Thomas with a deep commitment to sustainable farming and minimal intervention winemaking. The Lou Blanc is their flagship white — a powerful, unoaked Chardonnay that lets the fruit and terroir speak for themselves. The name “Lou Blanc” is Occitan for “the white” — simple, honest, and exactly what this wine delivers.
About This Wine
Made from organically farmed Chardonnay in the Languedoc, this is a full-bodied, unoaked white of real character and intensity. At 14.5% ABV, it has the richness and weight of a serious white Burgundy but with the sunny, generous fruit of the south of France. Award-winning and produced in limited quantities.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Light golden with attractive green tints.
Nose: Powerful and aromatic — hawthorn, elderflower, and rich white fruit with a background of mango.
Palate: Lively and full-bodied with fruity mango, floral undertones, and an almost creamy, balanced texture.
Finish: Long and satisfying with a clean, creamy close.
Food Pairing
Excellent with grilled fish, asparagus, creamy pasta dishes, and roast chicken. The richness and weight also make it a great match for lobster and rich seafood dishes.
