Montaribaldi Barbera d'Alba Dü Gir 2022

Montaribaldi, the Piedmontese estate of Luciano Taliano, is rooted in a philosophy of terroir-driven winemaking with minimal intervention. The Barbera d'Alba Dü Gir takes its name from the single vineyard — "Dü Gir" — in the municipality of Alba, where 100% Barbera is grown and harvested at peak ripeness before ageing for 18 months in oak.

About This Wine

Barbera d'Alba is one of Piedmont's most characterful wines, prized for its naturally vibrant acidity and generous fruit. Luciano's approach at Montaribaldi — sustainable farming, controlled yields, and minimal additions — allows the Dü Gir vineyard to express itself fully. The extended oak ageing adds structure and complexity while preserving the grape's signature freshness.
