Burgundy Wines

Originating from the Burgundy region in eastern France, the wines are renowned for their exceptional quality and distinct characteristics. This region is primarily known for its Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals. Pinot Noir from Burgundy typically exhibits complex aromas of red berries, earthy undertones, and silky tannins, while Chardonnay offers flavours ranging from crisp apple and citrus in cooler areas to rich, buttery notes in warmer locations.

Burgundy Wine Regions

Burgundy has a higher number of appellations d'origine contrôlée (AOCs) than any other French region, and is often seen as the most terroir-conscious of the French wine regions. The various Burgundy AOCs are classified from carefully delineated grand cru vineyards down to more non-specific regional appellations.
