Sancerre Wines
Sancerre is a renowned white wine from the Loire Valley in France, primarily made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. It’s known for its crisp acidity, mineral-driven profile, and vibrant citrus and green fruit flavours.
The Sancerre Wine Region
has 3 villages of Bué, Chavignol and Ménétréol-sous-Sancerre which have become associated with distinctive and high quality wines that they are often referred to as “crus” even though Sancerre is not officially classified.
Sancerre's Unique Terroir
comes from its diverse soils: Silex (flint), adds smokiness and a steely minerality. Caillottes (limestone pebbles) enhances freshness and elegance and Terres Blanches (clay-limestone) produces richer, fuller-bodied wines.
