Guy Charlemagne Cuvee Charlemagne Vintage Grand Cru 2016
Guy Charlemagne is based in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger on the Côte des Blancs — one of the most prestigious addresses in all of Champagne. The estate has been run by the Charlemagne family since 1892, now in the hands of Philippe Charlemagne, the fifth generation of father-to-son winemakers. The Cuvée Charlemagne is the estate’s prestige vintage Champagne — made only in the best years, from grapes harvested exclusively in the two Grand Cru villages of Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger.
About This Wine
A vintage Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru of exceptional quality — bottle-aged for 3 to 4 years before release, with the unmistakable elegance and mineral depth that only Grand Cru Chardonnay from Le Mesnil can produce. A serious, age-worthy Champagne from one of the appellation’s most historic grower estates.
